How It All Started
Hi, I’m Jessica. I’m a third generation German chocolatier. I created Imperfekt Bites in Austin, Texas with my father, we are a father-daughter team. We started Imperfekt Bites on the simple belief that decadent snacking and leading a wholesome lifestyle can coexist wonderfully.
Behold the mandelsplitter!
The idea for Imperfekt Bites came from a traditional German chocolate “cookie” called a Mandelsplitter, which is a combination of chocolate and slivered almonds, formed into little clusters. My mom and grandfather make them in our family’s German bakery in Wisconsin. Inspired by this delight, we played around with the idea and created a delicious snack with a perfect combination of high quality dark chocolate, nuts, seeds, dried fruit, and spices.

Our snacks aren’t too chocolate-heavy. In fact, our snacks have a higher percentage of functional ingredients to chocolate, making it a very wholesome snack.
